Clubs Facility Forums
Following the launch of Football Victoria’s State Facilities Strategy in August 2018, our Facility & Advocacy team continues to work with our member clubs and local councils in identifying opportunities for new facilities or upgrades to existing facilities. Potential projects can provide further growth in the sport.
Identifying priority projects include, floodlighting, female friendly changerooms, pitch surface upgrades through the installation or drainage & irrigation systems and possibility of installing a synthetic pitch.
Our forums over the next 12 months can take a number forms including one on one with clubs, one on one with council representatives or a club/council group gathering.
Past examples have included specific club meetings to discuss project plans and how the club best advances their proposals or a project meeting that includes all clubs from a particular council region.
Either way, strategies for the development and funding of facilities can be formulated.
The Forums will be an all-inclusive update of football facilities, with leading experts sharing their knowledge of facilities case studies, funding opportunities, synthetic surface updates, working with government at all levels, and an opportunity to network with key stakeholders.
